A prayer for the week ahead
15th Sunday of Trinity
Lord God, defend your Church from all false teaching and give to your people knowledge of your truth, that we may enjoy eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Bible Comes to Life Exhibition
From 6th to 11th October we are hosting CMJ's 'Bible Comes to Life' at STK — an interactive touring exhibition of biblical models, artefacts and costume, including a Bedouin tent, the second temple, the Ark of the Covenant and a display explaining Jesus Christ.
School classes visit Tuesday to Friday; it is open to everyone on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, 6.30–9pm, and on the Saturday, 10am–4pm. More at cmj.org.uk/bible-exhibition
Please pray for the planning and preparation still going on, and for the many details; for the CMJ team as they travel, set up and lead session after session; for the volunteers from STK who will help alongside them; for the school classes coming during the week — the children, their teachers, and the schools still deciding whether they can come; and for everyone who visits, children and adults alike, that they would meet with God through what they see and handle.
Stuart Ibbotson
Stuart, the son of Sheila Ibbotson (occasional member of our Wednesday congregation), has had a very serious motorbike accident resulting in complicated breaks to his leg and shoulder. Stuart was a member of our CYFA group 40+ years ago. He has the prospect of numerous operations in a specialist hospital in Birmingham although he lives in Devon. Please pray for Stuart, Sheila and his family.
Our Youth Ministry
Please continue to pray for those who are currently leading our youth work and for them to know God’s vision and provision for the next season.
Pray for those young people attending that they would be encouraged and built up in faith.
Rob & Rach
Please pray for Rob & Rach as they re-think and adjust to a change of plans.

Two Valleys Mission Community Team
We had a wonderful service of celebration on Tuesday 1st Sept when Rev. Emily Bagg was officially made Vicar of the Valley churches! Please continue to pray for her and her family as they settle in and as she seeks God’s will for our church families and communities.
The Two Valleys’ churches are St John’s Helsington, All Saints’ Underbarrow, St Mary’s Crosthwaite, St Anthony’s Cartmel Fell, Holy Trinity Winster, St Paul’s Witherslack, St Catherine’s Crook, and STK. This month please pray for the parish of Witherslack.
