Prayer

A Prayer for the week ahead.

Third Sunday of Lent

Eternal God,

give us insight to discern your will for us,

to give up what harms us,

and to seek the perfection we are promised

in Jesus Christ our Lord.

LENT PRAYER
In Lent it is great to spend some extra time with God. Planning this will make it happen.
There is a very old prayer that is good for settling yourself in prayer and focusing on Jesus.
You may find this helpful: Lord Jesus Christ, son of God, have mercy on me a sinner. This is repeated at least three times, or more as you like. Listening is very important, it is also a way of being inspired and encouraged. Spend five minutes listening, and build up each day.For encouragement in worship, 1 Chronicles 29 v 10-13.  Ephesians 3v 14-21. Jude 24 - 25.

Open Doors - China

Your prayers are like an angels embrace says Da Wei, pray for him as he seeks to disciple and teach the youth, who by law are not allowed to engage in the Christian activities if under 18. People are offered incentives to betray Christians. Pray for the leaders and those in prison.

Issy Neale In Afghanistan

Thank you for your continued prayers for Issy and the Medair team in Kabul. The growing conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan is a major concern. For further information and specific prayer points, please ask David or Steph Neale.

Roger Parker-Oxspring

Please pray for a speedy recovery for Roger, now back home after a hospital operation.

Alistair Finlay

Alistair would like to thank the many people who prayed for him on the day of his operation in January. The operation has gone well and he is making daily progress.

Our Youth Ministry
Please continue to pray for those who are currently leading our youth work and for them to know God’s vision and provision for the next season.
Pray for those young people attending that they would be encouraged and built up in faith.
